Rise and Shine: The Morning Routine
As an HVAC technician at Advantage Service Co, my day starts early. I wake up at 5:30 AM, grab a quick breakfast, and head out to the office. Our team meeting begins at 7:00 AM sharp, where we discuss the day’s assignments and any special considerations for our clients.
First Call: Residential AC Installation
My first job of the day is a residential air conditioning installation. I arrive at the client’s home by 8:30 AM and begin the process of:
- Removing the old unit
- Preparing the area for the new system
- Installing the new AC unit
- Testing and calibrating the system
This installation takes about four hours to complete, ensuring the homeowner will stay cool throughout the summer months.
Lunch Break and Team Check-In
After wrapping up the morning job, I take a short lunch break and check in with the office. They inform me of an emergency call that’s come in, requiring immediate attention.
Afternoon Emergency: Commercial HVAC Repair
I arrive at a local business experiencing issues with their HVAC system. The building is uncomfortably warm, affecting both employees and customers. I quickly diagnose the problem as a faulty compressor and get to work on the repairs. Within two hours, the system is back up and running efficiently.
End of Day: Paperwork and Preparation
As my workday comes to a close, I return to the office to complete necessary paperwork and prepare for the next day’s assignments. I also take some time to review the latest industry standards and innovations to stay on top of my game.
Working at Advantage Service Co is always rewarding, knowing that we’re helping keep our community comfortable and energy-efficient, one HVAC system at a time.
